Texas - 2; ISIS - 0

A big loud "Bravo Zulu" to that unnamed Texas cop, with nerves of steel, who put two ISIS wanna-be mass murderers on the waiting list for their virgin quota.

Great shooting.

Texas? Really? The land of Chris Kyle? Why would ISIS think that Texas would be an easy target? Note to Islamists: Texas is not Boston or Paris, in case you hadn't noticed.

The story of the failed attack by ISIS on the Muhammed drawing competition seems to have not set too well with a lot of progressive commentators--the competition, that is, not the attack. Lots of mumbling about "hate speech," "hate groups," and even the ones who condemn (sort of) the ISIS attack, hurl insults in the direction of Pam Geller and Geert Wilders for provoking Muslims into forgetting that they belong to the Religion of Peace. The Twitterverse and mainstream media are full of prog whining about hateful speech (here, for example) and implying that somehow the event organizers deserved having their lives put in danger.

Anyhow, I am sure we will now all be treated to endless discussions of whether the two mad Islamists who got euthanized were connected to international terrorist movements, whether, in fact, they were "real" Muslims, and we will hear, no doubt, that it is best to avoid incidents like this by not holding events that Muslims might find offensive. Let's just do plays insulting Mormons, much safer.

In the meanwhile, it's good to be reminded in this time of Baltimore and Ferguson that there are some very good cops out there who have our backs.

  1. I live less than ten miles from where this went down. Still haven't heard a name, but the officer is 60 years old and he expended two rounds, one for each.

  2. From what I heard it was one pistol vs two Aks. It's not like the old days, but bad guys still get their butts shot down here.

    1. It now looks like they were some type of AR knock off, but it doesn't change a thing. The cop did it right, went right after them.

  3. I have a feeling the officers' "service weapon" was an old school, hog leg .357 magnum.

    2. I love my old S&W Highway Patrol 4" .357. Owned it for nearly 50 years. Never failed once.

  4. I wonder if the same people who claim that this cartoon drawing event "had it coming," are the same people who look at a rape victim who was wearing a short dress and say "she had it coming."

    2. Alas, authorities are still waiting for adequate apologies and explanations from the 27 culturally-insensitive women who were brutally beaten up and gang-raped by their multiple Islamist attackers after baiting them simply by the brazen act of being physically beautiful. Hopefully these inconsiderate women will be able to provide something sufficient to diffuse such tragic events in the future.

      Or something.

    3. Your comment reminds me of the incident in Tehran after the 1979 revolution. Two young girls continued to swim in their family pool which was enclosed by high walls. Muzzie voyeurs from atop a tall building a half mile away, using telescopes, were able to see the girls in their bathing suits. The girls were arrested and, I believe, hung for immodesty.

    5. If they are not the same people, they ought to be, and by that I mean, the cartoon-drawing event vis-a'-vis the short skirt-wearing rape victim. So as to show the consistency of their logical reasoning and thought process.

  5. Too bad it wasn't a Texas Ranger. One assassination attempt one Ranger.

  6. And maybe this old 60 year old officer will be made a Texas Ranger....honorably or otherwise.

Living here in E. Texas I have a few observations...
First, it isn't just libs jumping organizers of event....Bill O'Reilly and other conservatives went after them.
Next, old farts do their job and can be counted on years after others think their service is diminished by age. (I know I am married to one...and he is sharp as a tack).....(Of course, I'm old now, too.....but we will leave that aside.) I killed a copperhead with my cane....in case you think I can't be of good use. :)
Lastly, I didn't go to the event and I would not have created such an event....but I have no criticism of the event. Somebody had to do it, the entire rest of the world turned coward. I wouldn't have created or attended the event simply because my Daddy taught me not to poke a rattlesnake.....:)
Lastly, to the NEeas Libs who think we are nuts down here. Get a grip. This is Texas. We still remember the Alamo.

    1. E.Tx Rancher, I agree with most of what you said...

But please, please- don't tar conservatives by lumping Bloviating Bill O'Reilly in with us. He's a Bigshot Media Personality, not a conservative. He wouldn't be caught dead near a Tea Party rally; personally I loathe him, as too many folks (sadly including yourself) seem to think he represents conservatives; he doesn't. He represents Bill O'Reilly.

Also, the world is becoming overrun with rattlesnakes. It's time to do more than poke them, it's time to eliminate them. Your cane on the back of a member of the "Religion of Pieces" would be a great start!

I'm stuck in CA, but my heart is in Texas, and I still remember the Alamo!

    3. I have two words for the lefties and blowhards that are criticizing Geller for being "provocative." "Piss Christ."

  7. It's been nibbled around the edges, but I sense a need to say it straight out. Women who do not cover their hair are being "provocative" to these idiots. Freedom, itself, is a provocation to such people. Two guys had to drive a thousand miles through desert to be offended, and kill somebody to settle the score. No one who refuses to live the Mohammadan life style, which includes covered women, men who never shave, always wash their patoots the correct way, have no right to dump on Wilders and Geller, who did not hold their contest in Mecca but in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.Living our lives is not a provocation. We desperately need to stop shuffling around in shame for who we are. It is not bad. Showing a woman's hair has not impoverished a single sand flea. Taking them seriously emboldens them. Laughing at them is not the whole battle, but it is the beginning of it.

    2. This looks like they are using Saul Alinsky's rule number 12:

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

The media and the Muslims are clearly using Alinsky to demonize Geller.

And to those that think this cannot possibly happen in this country, I submit this Ghandi quote:

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

We ignored, we laughed. Now can we win the fight?
